3 Is The Magic Number For King's Lynn Business GroupMembers of the Vancouver Chapter of BNI are celebrating their success in bucking the trend of the doom and gloom by generating a staggering £3,000,000 of business.
Over the past 3 years, since recording the amount of invoiced business that has been passed around the chapter, members have annually generated a fantastic £1,000,000 averaging over £40,000 for each member per year (£41,666.67).
Chapter Director Andy Lovell (of Fenton Insurance Solutions) said “The Vancouver Chapter of BNI shows it's worth its weight in gold in this current economic climate. We have a fantastic bunch of hardworking professionals looking out for each other and working hard to generate new business. When we added up the value of the last 3 years of referrals we were overwhelmed at how successful we have been particularly in the current climate. It’s a fantastic achievement from all members.”
The Vancouver Chapter of BNI was formed nearly 10 years ago by local business people and over that time has continued to grow to become the most successful business referral organisation by providing a structured and supportive business environment in which King’s Lynn and West Norfolk businesses can get together to network, learn valuable new marketing skills and develop the strong personal relationships that lead to trust and the consequent generation of significant business for each other.
And as a result the chapter has also welcomed 3 new members within the last 3 months including Matthew Hammond (MSH Glazing), Peter Oddey (Spectrum Financial Planning) and Jon Noble (Noble Roofing).
“When I was first invited to visit the Vancouver BNI Chapter I felt a bit apprehensive and unsure of the benefits it would bring to my business”, said new member Peter Oddey. “However from that first meeting I immediately received new work and continue to do so. Plus, as a side effect, I now have over 20 other local business people who I trust and can turn to when I need help.”
BNI’s philosophy of only allowing one representative from each trade/profession means that members of the Vancouver Chapter are urging other business-owners wanting to generate more new local revenue to come along to the next meeting and ‘lock out’ their competitors from joining.
