BNI is a business and professional networking organisation that allows only one representative from each profession to join a chapter. The sole purpose of the Vancouver King's Lynn chapter is to generate more business for its members.
BNI is the most successful business referral organisation in the world; there are over 4,500 chapters in operation with more than 90,000 members; since its launch in June 2002 members of the Vancouver King's Lynn chapter have passed over 7,300 referrals translating into over £1.8 million in business being done between the members.
BNI members carry a card file with the other members' business cards in it. When they speak to a client, associate or friend and they recognise a need that can be fulfilled by a member of the chapter, they can then provide a referral to fill that need.
